Show the number of days overdue on each statement line

A customer who can see “45 days overdue” next to an invoice knows what to pay first. Xero’s statements and its Send Statements screen don’t show that figure. The idea “Invoicing – Add Number of Days Overdue to Send Statements screen” was moved to Gaining Support on 15 January 2026, and comments ask for “Days Past Due” on the PDF statement as well.

What Ageline does

It reads Xero’s Aged Receivables Detail export (Excel) or an invoice export, and makes one PDF per customer. See which export to use.

What it doesn’t do

Xero is changing statements. On 27 October 2026 Xero moved the idea “Customer statements – Ability to auto email Statements” to In development and invited a limited group of users to test a new statement list and PDF views, with scheduling and “more control over which columns you display on your statement PDF” listed as coming soon. If your Xero organisation gets a statement layout that already does what you need, use it.

Try it on your own export. Free, no sign-up, nothing uploaded. The ageing summary covers every customer, and statement PDFs are made for the first 3 customers in each batch. The Practice plan ($29 per month or $290 per year) makes them for every customer: see pricing.
